GuideThe trek to the Kareri Lake, is a perfect weekend getaway if you want to switch off from your monotonous routine and get close to nature.
The entire trek is about 26 km long. This trek is one of the most scenic alpine treks in Himachal Pradesh that passes through green artistic shepherd villages that have a charm of their own.
- Him Trek Camps
- Reach Dharamkot and gear up for KarerI Lake Trek
- Climb to the campsite, it will take around 4-5 hours for you to reach
- The route will open up to pleasing views, where your camp will be set up
- Relax in your tent, within the nature’s striking surroundings
- Hot dinner will be served
- After relishing your breakfast, the next part of your hike will begin
- It will take you to the garrulous Kareri Lake
- Keep walking, and soak in the scenic beauty all around
- We will be crossing the river to reach the campsite
- Rest and enjoy the verdant meadows
- At night, indulge in the scrumptious food, post which you can sleep within the lap of nature
- Post breakfast, the Kareri Lake trek will end
- Begin descending towards Dharamkot
- Trek down along the river and dense forests to Ghera Village
- On reaching Ghera, you will be taken to Mcleodganj
- Accommodation for two nights in camps-sharing as per requirement
- Meals: breakfast and dinner
- All transfers by personal vehicle
- All vehicle related expenses - fuel, toll, tax, state tax, drivers TA/DA etc.
- Airfare or train fare or bus fare
- Extra meals not mentioned and meals during transit
- Personal expenses
- Anything not mentioned in the inclusions
- Any other govt. fee or entry fee charged by NGT for restricted areas
No refunds or exchange is offered in cases of force majeure: i.e. in case an accommodation goes unused, a meal is missed, sightseeing is missed due to strikes, excessive traffic, road blocks, strikes or any such factor beyond our control.
No refunds are offered in case of hotel and facilities not being up to your expectations, the same will be considered on case to case basis.
Bookings cancelled one month prior to travel: 10% cancellation fee will be levied
Bookings cancelled 7-5 days prior to travel: 30% cancellation fee will be levied
Bookings cancelled less than 7 days to travel: no refunds will be offered
