Let me take you on a walk through the lanes of the very own golden city , Jaisalmer. I hired a taxi from Udaipur and it took almost 8-9 hours of journey to reach Jaisalmer and went straight to sand dunes for sunset as per the plan i started around 9 in the morning to the city. The first stop was the Jaisalmer fort, the largest living fort with people on both sides of the fort. The Brahmins reside in one side of the fort and the kshtriya resides on the other side. The palace tour was around 1.5 hrs
The intricate details of the fort was remarkable, we get to see the armoury , clothes and the chambers of the king. There were many water conservation techniques in the fort as there was scarcity of water in the fort during the times. It's said that the stones seen in the Jaisalmer ,soaks up water. The view from the top of the fort is spectacular, the village is all golden , all the building leaving a remarkable sight.
