Overview

Kerala, a state on India's tropical Malabar Coast, has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It's known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, a network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife. National parks like Eravikulam and Periyar, plus Wayanad and other sanctuaries, are home to elephants, langur monkeys and tigers

Itinerary
  • Our representative will receive you at the Cochin International Airport / Railway station / Bus Stand and will escort you to the vehicle reserved for your trip & proceed to Munnar.
  • Enroute visit Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls is among the best trekking locations in Idukki district. There is a dense growth of trees all around and several rare species of plants and animals can be seen in the vicinity. The Cheeyappara Waterfalls gush down in seven tiers and area truly spectacular sight to behold. Valara waterfalls are known for the lush greenery surrounding it and is a lovely picnic location.
  • Later reach Munnar, check in to Hotel for overnight stay.

  • After breakfast, spend the day in local Munnar sightseeing. Munnar drives its name from the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale.
  • Mattupetty dam is located 13 km away from Munnar. Its reservoir is an idyllic place to enjoy the serene nature. It is also said to be one of the waterholes where the elephants in the region often visit. This wide expanse of serene water, shining as it reflects the rays of the sun will take your breath away. Become a part of this glittering panorama when you venture on a boat on these waters. Boating here is a pleasant activity indeed. (NOTE: Boating is at extra cost, to be paid direct by the customer / Visiting Hours - 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM / Photography not allowed).
  • Echo Point is named so, owing to natural echoes that one can clearly make and hear resonating in these acres of lush greenery. One can choose a silent, contemplative hike up the mountains or choose to scream and hear their voices being echoed till far out and wide.
  • Kundala Lake is situated at a height of 1700 meters above sea level. The thing for which the lake is famous for are the very unique and rare Neela Kurunji flowers which blossoms only once in twelve years. There is also Kundala dam here, which is the first arched dam in the whole Asian continent. The whole area of the lake gives you the feel of experiencing heaven like adventure. Kundala Lake provides the opportunity to tourists to hire Shikara, pedal boats and row boats to enjoy . It is like the icing on the cake because it gives you the chance to enjoy the beauty of the lake from a close look. (NOTE: Boating and other activities are at extra cost, to be paid direct by the customer )
  • Attukad Waterfalls lies between Pallivasal and Munnar. Attukad waterfalls is a perfect mixture of rocks and greenery. Attukad Waterfalls is at a distance of 9 kilometers from Munnar and is visible from a distance from the road. Water seems to be falling like threads of pearls from a height. Age is not a bar to visit this place as it has something to offer for all. This captivating attraction is surrounded by dark jungle and lush green terrains, reachable only through wooden bridge.
  • Pothamedu View Point is Located around 6 km away from Munnar on NH 49, the Pothamedu Viewpoint is set amidst tea and coffee plantations and undulating hills. The vantage point offers a panoramic view of Munnar and adjoining valleys. It is a popular spot among trekkers, hikers and nature lovers for its pleasing scenic environs. If the atmosphere is clear, one can catch a glimpse of the Muthirapuzha River and Idukki Arch Dam, which is around 60 km away from Munnar.
  • The Blossom International Park is located at a distance of around 3 km from the main town, Blossom International Park is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Munnar. Spread in well-maintained lush area of 16 acres, it is quite close to Pallivasal Hydro Electric Project. The park is popular as a picnic spot and is home to tall trees and several rate flowering plant species.
  • Later return to the Hotel, overnight stay at the Munnar Hotel.

  • After breakfast check out from Munnar Hotel & proceed to Thekkady. Drive through one of the most picturesque hill highways of Kerala. Thekkady, also known as periyar is a world famous wildlife sanctuary and one of the 48 Tiger Reserves in India .
  • On arrival check in to the Hotel & later proceed for local sightseeing visiting:
  • Boat Ride at Periyar lake offers some of the best wildlife sighting where one can have a unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar, however are the herds of wild elephants that come down to play in the lake (Wild life viewing is always dependent on one's good fortune) (Note: Activities like bamboo rafting & Boating are at extra cost need to be paid by the guest directly)
  • Visit to Spice Plantations can be arranged followed by Elephant ride. (Entree fee to plantation & Elephant ride fee are at extra cost need to be paid by the customer on direct payment basis)
  • Later return to the Hotel, evening at leisure (shopping at local market or cultural activities can be opted in the evening at extra cost ).
  • Overnight stay at Thekkady Hotel.

  • After breakfast check out from the Hotel & proceed to Alleppey.
  • On arrival check in to the Hotel. After lunch proceed for local sightseeing visiting:
  • Sree Krishna Swamy Ambalappuzha Temple is believed to have been built during 15th – 17th AD by the local ruler Chembakasserry Pooradam Thirunal-Devanarayanan Thampuran. The idol at Ambalapuzha is likened to Parthasarthi with a whip in the right hand and a Shankhu (sacred conch) in the left. This temple is directly associated to the Guruvayoor Sree Krishna Temple. During the raids of Tipu Sultan in 1789, the idol of Sri Krishna from the Guruvayoor Temple was brought to the Ambalappuzha Temple for safe keeping. It kept safely for 12 years. The payasam served in the Ambalappuzha Temple is famous among Hindu devotees. This sweet pudding made of rice and milk has an interesting mythological legend behind it.It is believed that Guruvayoorappan reaches here daily at the time of Palpayasa Nedyam to have it.
  • Later Visit Alleppey Back Waters and Alleppey Beach.
  • Marari Beach ( Optional - Beach visit will be only if time permits) : Marari Beach is a perfect location for holidaying with family or friends. This beach in Kerala is eternal with coconut palm trees and golden sands. The beach is quite beautiful and the name 'Marari' arises from 'Mararikulum', which is a local village on the Arabian Sea Coast.
  • Later return to the Hotel for overnight stay.
  • After breakfast check out from Alleppey Hotel & proceed to Kovalam. Drive through one of the most picturesque hill highways of Kerala.
  • On arrival check in to the Hotel & relax for some time.
  • Later in the afternoon proceed for local sightseeing visiting:
  • The Lighthouse Beach (shining star of Kovalam) is a magnificent mix of gleaming sand, rocking waves, swaying palm fringes and blue aquamarine waters. The most frequently visited beach in Kovalam, the Lighthouse beach got its name from the old Vizhinjam lighthouse, which stands tall on a rocky headland. Long walks by the coastline, sunbathing, surfing, beach volleyball and swimming are some of the activities that can be enjoyed at the beach. Exquisite sea food is also available at the stalls lining the shore. Ayurvedic massages and beachside spas are a hit with tourists frequenting the Lighthouse beach.
  • Hawa Beach is one of the three beaches that together form the crescent of the Kovalam Beach. This beach is endearingly known as the Eve's Beach, presumably because of its beautiful surroundings. It is a heaven for those who are looking for peace and relaxation. The calmness and tranquillity of this beach makes it an ideal place to get some moments of relaxation away from the humdrum of the city life. What adds to the appeal of this beach are several coconut trees along the shore and the Arabian Sea that looks amazing. You can enjoy a walk by the shoreline, go swimming or just laze around and sunbathe. Besides, there are a number of eating joints here, where you can savour local delicacies. Also, sometimes, local fishermen offer sunrise and sunset cruises in their small fishing boats.

  • On arrival visit Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple is a blend of the Kerala and Dravidian styles of architecture. It is believed to be the world’s richest temple. The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple as per belief is located at a place that is considered as one of the seven Parasurama Kshetras. There are references to the temple in texts like the Puranas, viz. the Skanda Purana and Padma Purana. The temple stands close to the holy tank - Padma Theertham, which means 'lotus spring.' The shrine is currently run by a trust headed by the erstwhile royal family of Travancore. The idol of the presiding deity of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is noted for its composition, which has 12008 salagramams, which were brought from Nepal, taken from the banks of the River Gandhaki. International check-in time is 14:00 to 15:00 hours and check-out time is 11:00 to 12:00 hours (mentioned time is standard across destinations but subject to change without prior notice).

The rates offered are valid for Indian nationals only.

In case of unavailability in the listed Hotels, Airlines, Tours, etc alternate arrangements will be made of a similar standard.

All Tickets/Bookings confirmed shall additionally be governed under the terms and conditions as laid out by the respective airlines/service providers. By accepting Travluk terms and conditions, the Traveler is also agreeing to the terms & conditions of the respective airline/Service Providers.

Flight schedules and timings are subject to regulatory approvals and change(s).

Travluk will provide a proposed itinerary to the user before the booking. Such a proposed itinerary shall be subject to changes. The confirmed booking details and hotel vouchers will be sent to the Traveler before departure and after payment of the entire booking amount shall be final.

The Package price is subject to increase without any prior notice if this rate substantially changes prior to departure, then the Traveler would be required to pay such incremental tour cost before the departure.

The days and nights of the itinerary are decided as per the availability of hotels and airlines. No claims regarding full utilization of the last day or inclusion in the tour shall be valid.

Travluk takes all reasonable steps at the time of finalising the itinerary for the User to ensure that the itinerary is as per the convenience and comfort of the Traveler. However, in the event of a change in the itinerary, Travluk would inform the Traveler accordingly before the departure of the Traveler on the Tour.

Further, in the event of any change beyond the control of Travluk in the itinerary of the User post departure for tour, Travluk shall inform the User accordingly as and when such a change occurs. Travluk shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever for any loss that a Traveler might suffer consequent to such a change.

Travluk reserves the right to claim any additional expenses on account of delays or changes in the itinerary, caused by any reason whatsoever.

Travluk reserves the right to amend, alter, vary, or withdraw any particular departure, excursion or substitute a hotel of similar category, or any other aspect of the itinerary if deemed advisable or necessary.

Travluk will not entertain any change in the itinerary at the request of the Traveler after booking, as such change might disarray the entire tour. However, Travluk may, in its sole discretion and subject to availability, provide changes in the itinerary made at the request of the Traveler. Traveler agrees to pay the additional cost incurred due to such change/cancellation.

Travluk takes all reasonable steps at the time of selecting the hotels that form a part of the Package. The selection is based on an internal assessment of the respective hotels and such hotels selected are usually the best in the respective categories. Travluk endeavors to provide details of the hotel to the User in advance of vide proposed itinerary. However, Travluk reserves the right to change hotels before booking, subject to availability or any other reason beyond its control.

Once the Traveler opts for a certain category or star rating of a hotel, later no claim or dispute with regard to the star category or type of the hotel shall be entertained by Travluk.

Travluk would not be held liable or to make good any inconvenience or discomfort caused to the Traveler due to but not limited to the insufficient services provided at the hotel. Travluk acts as a facilitator between the Traveler and the hotel and would under no circumstances be held responsible for inadequate services provided by the hotel.

The user shall be responsible for his/ her baggage and valuables. Travluk shall not be liable for any loss of baggage or theft of Traveler(s) articles during their stay in the hotels or any time during the tour.

In the event that the Traveler misses out on any activity or any meal on the tour due to delay on his part, Travluk would not be held liable to refund the money paid for the same.
