LOCATION
Kondeshwar Temple, Jambhavali, Kamshet
BEST TIME TO VISIT
June to September
ROUTE TAKEN
New Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Take the Lonavala Exit and continue on Old Highway. Then take left turn towards Kamshet.
Started early at around 6 in the morning to avoid weekend traffic. Located around 80kms from CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai. It took us 90 minutes (give or take) to reach the destination by our private car. It can be considered as a perfect alternative to overcrowded places of Lonavala as it is a secluded destination. Road to the temple is pretty simple and can be found on Google Maps.
While travelling towards the temple, you can find numerous spots like Uksan Dam and many other small waterfalls were you can click some nice photos.
After Kamshet the roads are not so good and narrow. There are enough Grocery Shops and Food Stalls for Snacks and Lunch. Even the highway has good Dhabas which are suitable for family also. Once you reach the temple, the waterfall is situated on the backside. Proper parking space is available for 2 & 4 Wheeler. While walking down towards the waterfall, the track is a bit slippery. To enjoy the waterfall, start walking against the flow of the river. The water level is not too deep and is completely safe even for kids.
