DN Road

Earlier known as the Hornby Road, This road is presently the dadabhai Naoroji Road which is a part of the Business square of the city. This road is known to be the nerve centre of the city and also encompasses some of the most important landmarks here. It stretches from the Crawford Market to the Victoria Terminus and then the Flora Mountain on the Southern End. This was a small street from the Mumbai Fort but was later expanded and developed into an avenue during the 1860's. As you move past this road, you will find it lined by the old colonial buildings of the city on both sides. It is also a part of the Dadabhai Naoroji Road Heritage Streetscape Project and been awarded with the prestigious UNESCO Asia- Pacific Heritage award for merit.
