Ravangla is in the South Sikkim District of Sikkim and this Buddhist Stupa is originally known as the Ravangla Buddhist Park. The centerpiece of this park is a huge statue of Lord Buddha and this was inaugrated by the 14th Dalai Lama on the occasion of the 2550th birth anniversary of Gautama Buddha. This is surrounded by a number of famous monasteries and is also a part of the Himalayan Monastery Chain.
