At a distance of 307 km from Pune, Ganpatipule is a small pilgrimage & beach town located in the Ratnagiri district on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra in India. This is one of the top Places to visit in Maharashtra and also one of the best places to visit near Pune.
So I started at 5:00 am from Pune .It took me around 8 hours to reach Ganpatipule.
Route : Pune -> Satara -> Karad -> Kohlapur -> Shahuwadi -> Amba -> Ganpatipule.
The road condition is very good till Kohlapur as its a highway and after that the ghat road is also good but foggy ,So better to cover that in daylight .
Stay : MTDC Resort, Ganpatipule.
I always look for MTDC resorts as a first choice since they have the best location of any place like this.So I stayed at MTDC Resort, Ganpatipule .The location of resort is amazing as this is in front of beach itself .Although I felt the room charges were little high(you can view the charges - http://mtdcresorts.in/destinations/ganapatipule/mtdc-ganapatipule/mtdc.htm) and the rooms were not clean/maintained .The view from resort was amazing.
The resort provides you all time meal .The food quality is good and the charges for food is also nominal .
