Bunk Office Today and Get to the Following Places (in Under 5 Hours)

We are still only down to Wednesday. Will this week ever end? How about you bunk office tomorrow and, say, take a road trip?

Good idea, isn't it! Here are some options - 

• Agra - on a hot summer's day, what better way to spend a day off than in the presence of the pristine white mausoleum? Besides the history, Agra also has on offer a lovely leather market because keepsakes!

• Bharatpur - while one of the best times to visit Bharatpur is August to November, the bird sanctuary is open all year round. And the summer won’t disappoint you either, if you can stomach it. • Lansdowne – What makes Lansdowne ideal for a weekend quickie is that it is beautiful, quaint and relatively undiscovered. Lodged amidst the beautiful Garhwal hills at around 1700 metres above sea level, it is the respite you need from the heat, as well as from the city.

• Damdama Lake – A little ahead of Gurgaon, the stress capital of the country, this quaint lake is surrounded by the Aravalli’s and is a popular picnic spot. Why it works? Because it loads you up on adrenaline when you are low – parasailing, kayaking, valley crossing – you name it!

• Unchagaon – Nestled in UP, this little town boasts of its fair share of history. The centre of all attraction here is the 19th century fort which can make for nice daylong heritage walk.
