Latin American Food Fiesta

The menu at Mestizo is the diversity of Latin American cuisine, offering a carefully curated selection of meat-forward dishes, innovative vegetarian creations, gluten-free options, and indulgent desserts.

Highlights include churrasco-style lamb chops, lamb birria, tableside guacamole with handmade tortillas, and various vegetarian delights such as grilled vegetable empanadas and mushroom tacos.

My table looked lovely with outstanding dishes - 'Elote Ribs' -  Grilled and blistered Mexican street style corn ribs, garnished with garlic crema, crumbled cheese, tajín, and cilantro. My all time favourite 'Fire Roasted Potato was absolutely delicious with Chipotle mayo, pico de gallo, and cheese mix. For Aubergine lovers, here is a rare treat - Charred Aubergine -
Miso-mirin marinated aubergine, tajin, chilli crisp, and nori crumb. Grilled Cauliflower Steak may sound simple but it is not to be missed for its spicy texture.
In the mains, The Classic Burrito Bowl is not to be missed. Healthy and bursting with house cheese, it is made to perfection , with quinoa or rice option, also available with Chicken.

What takes the spotlight is of course, Seafood Paella - here it comes with a twist -  a medley of seafood, served on a creamy tomato paella (add on chorizo). Norwegian Salmon Nikkei is another hot favourite of diners - Miso glazed Grilled Norwegian Salmon, served with a side salad. And of course, New Zealand Lamb Chops Churrasco - Grilled New Zealand lamb chops with grilled veg, corn potato hash, herb sauce and cauliflower puree.

Desserts Fiesta

The best is yet to come. Desserts Fiesta. Basque Cheese Cake turned out to be my favourite with blue berry compote. Molten Chocolate cake was equally sinful, served icecream. I chose to wind up my meal with inevitable Dulce de Leche Churros and Tres Leches - Cake soaked in three types of milk - topped with vanilla whipped cream and berries. And left BANANA TOFFEE ALMOND TART - Toffee base, banana and sweet dough, served with vanilla ice cream, for another day!
