It was our day 12th and exactly at 12 pm we left Hanle and started our journey towards Tsomoriri lake.
By this day we were all tired and so much tired that we rarely came infront of camera.
Anyway we crossed the same route that is via Rhongo to Loma check post with Indus river as our companion which remain with us till Mahe.
But before that let me show you the 3rd worst patch in which again I was afraid to cross. It came just after Loma check post and from here onwards, roads are pretty bad in state and few patches of good road gave us some joy.
Talking about terrain between loma and Mahe is simply amazing. We saw many red colored mountains and remain awestruck for a long time.
Then came Nyoma where we stopped to have our Lunch. I guess very soon we will a petrol pump at Nyoma.
After filling ourselves with no so good food we again started our march and reached to Mahe check post and bridge where we said goodbye to Indus river. We won't be seeing her for the route we had taken.
Just after Mahe comes a small village called Sumdo which seems really beautiful to me and again I thought to have at least a night here, hopefully in future.
After Sumdo we crossed Namshangla pass which is like 15800 feet and let me tll you that we did not felt any symptom of AMS the way we felt on our day 2. Our body was fully acclimatized.
Then comes Kyagar tso which was treat for the eye. A group of bikers also joined us by then. However, we did not stopped for long as we need to reach tso moriri lake asap.
Distance from Kyagar tso to Tso moriri lake is just 30 km but this 30 km patch is the wost of all the distance we covered from Hanle but the first view of Tso moriri was ... heavenly. It was magical.
Vehicles can go upto Korzok village where we booked a small cottage just beneath Korzok monastery. It was late evening and a shepherd was returning home and seeing him, we too decided to have a good rest (without seeing anything there)
It was our Day 13th morning and it came out to be late. It was already 9 am and this little village was already bubbling with life.
We went straight to a Nomadic family which we got to know about yesterday evening just to observe their life style. They were very polite with us and even invited us to have lunch with them by their hand gesture as we were unable to understand their language.
A women we found weaving some cloth, others cleaning dishes, kids simply playing and men taking care of their sheeps. Quite a simple life... Eat work sleep...
We also found some young monks from Korzok monastery who were in their tents praying for them and for world peace.
We had plenty of time there so we went to Lake point view and found lights were not that good according to photography so we planned to come there in evening.
After this we went to see Korzok monastery. Photography is not allowed inside the prayer hall and you need to pay Rs. 50/- to enter.
We took our dinner which for almost whole Ladakh trip was simple rice, dal and mix veg. We saw Korzok village which was kind of sleepy by afternoon.
Kuldip too went for his power nap while Puneet and I decided to see Lake closely. We intended to stay here for today as we needed a little more energy to start our next day. Secondly we needed to see evening of tso moriri lake.
Again we both went to the highest point for the village which happen to be kind of stupa to see Tso moriri lake from different perspective and frankly got captivated for a long time.
By evening when Kuldip was up again we went to Lake point view, Kuldip taught us steel wool photography and we also did some light painting... night was again clear and we yet again made a star trails photos and this was the last one of Ladakh trip.
