The 3 days trek covers a lot of beautiful places in Uttrakhand like Chopta, Deoriyatal, Tungnath Shiva temple, Chandrashila peak (4000m). Chopta is a small hill station in Uttrakhand comprised of meadows and evergreen forest with treks & camping. Chopta is known for its sunset beauty, you have never seen the sunset like that happens in Chopta. It is covered in snow in winters till March. Deoriatal is a very beautiful emerald lake situated amid dense forests of Rhododendron and Oak forests in the Kedarnath Musk Deer Sanctuary in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Perched at an elevation of 2438 metres above sea level, Deoriatal offers a reflection of mighty Chaukhambha peak in its crystal clear water. The trail to Deoriatal is of 3km of easy grade starting from a small village Sari. The trek to Deoriatal is done in combination with Tungnath Chandrashila trek which makes it a must do trek for all types of people.

Tungnath or famously known as the Tungnath temple is a sacred temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in the mountain ranges of the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Perched at an astonishing elevation of 3680 metres above sea level, this temple is the highest Shiva temple in the world, and highest among the other Panch Kedar temples. The temple has a magnificient architecture and is beleived to be 1000 years old. This temple has mythological background associated with Mahabharata. It is said that in order to escape from the Pandavas Lord Shiva disguised himself in the form of bull and took refuge underground. The places where the parts are found are renowned temples and part of the Panch Kedar. Tungnath was the place where his hands were spotted.

Chandrashilla also known as the Moon Peak is the peak situated above the Tungnath Temple at an elevation of 4000 metres above sea level. One can view mighty Himalayan peaks from the summit point of Chandrashilla peak namely Mt. Nanda Devi, Chaukhambha Parvat, Kedar Dome, Bandarpoonch etc. The legend says that it was on this peak where Lord Rama meditated after defeating the Demon King Ravana. A small temple is situated at the summit point of Chandrashila peak. The trek to Tungnath- Chandrashila starts from a small town Chopta in the Rudraprayag district and is a mild trek of 6 km from Chopta.

  • A 233 km road ride to Sari Village followed by a trek of 2.5 km from our campsite at Deoriyatal
  • Drive across the cities of Rishikesh, Devprayag and Rudraprayag travelling along side the River Ganga experiencing some best of the views during the travel
  • Breakfast and lunch during the travel will be provided in the road side ins which needs to be paid by individual
  • 2.5 km trek to Deoriyatal Camp site, it takes around one and a half hour to reach Deoriyatal
  • Arrival at the campsite followed by evening refreshments and introduction session with the trek leader
  • Trek down to Sari village from Deoriyatal Camp site
  • Breakfast at Sari Village
  • 16 km Drive to Chopta, 4.5 km ascend trek to Tungnath Temple on a maintained trail of easy to moderate grade
  • Rest at the Tungnath Temple followed by a moderate trek of 1.5 km to Chandrashilla Peak from the temple
  • Packed lunch at the Chandrashilla peak and excursion back to campsite descending 6 km

The customers have to reach the pick-up location mentioned in the itinerary on given time. If delayed for more than 45 minutes 'TheSearchingSouls' holds the right to leave behind the individuals who are late.

Usually, trekkers are clubbed together with other participants to make a group. The group travels together in a shared vehicle.

The pick-up vehicle depends on the number of members. The vehicles provided will be as per below norms:

No of persons (1-4) : Hatchback - Alto, Swift or equivalent vehicle

No of persons (5-8) : Tata Sumo/Mahindra Bolero or equivalent vehicle

No of persons (9-12): Tempo Traveller

'TheSearchingSouls' has third party vendors who look after the transport and we don’t have our own fleet. You may choose to come to the base camp on your own as well.

Meals during transportation has to be paid by the individual and is not included in package cost.

We have a clear payment policy which will withstand on all conditions. Anyone giving assurance less or more than the quoted amount must not be entertained.

We have a clear cancellation policy which will withstand on all conditions. Anyone giving assurance less or more than the quoted amount must not be entertained.

We expect our trekkers to carry their own back packs which has your personal belongings – clothing, toiletries etc. In case a person is not able to or doesn’t wish to carry their back pack they may offload their back packs on mules which will cost them from INR 300/day to INR 500/day depending on the trek.

If someone wishes to offload their back packs they need to inform on the first the of the trek. After that we will not be able to consider.

'TheSearchingSouls' is not responsible for any loss/damage of your gears /equipment or any other belonging during the trek.

We have designed the itineraries to complete the trek in safest possible manner. Individuals are requested to follow their trek leader. Sometimes taking short cuts or being callous during the treks may lead to accidents.

Our trek leaders have pulse oximeter and basic first aid only.

Our trek leaders have the right to send you back to the base village if your oxygen levels fall below 70 or in case you have any kind of sickness.

In case of an unfortunate event, a medical emergency or an injury. Doctors don’t with the team so an individual has to be rescued to the nearest hospital. 'TheSearchingSouls' team will make arrangements for your rescue but the expenses of the rescue has to be paid by an individual.

Accommodation will be allotted by our trek leaders. The members have to accommodate as per the guidelines given by the trek leader.

Accommodation will be on triple sharing basis in Quechua T3 Tents and twin-sharing basis in Quechua T2 Tents.

We only provide vegetarian meals during the trek.

Case 1: If the trek is cancelled by 'The Searching Souls'

(a) In case the trek is cancelled by 'The Searching Souls' due to any unavoidable circumstances like Bharat bandh, road block, natural calamity, landslides etc. we will provide a trek coupon where you can opt for the same trek or a different for a period of one year. in case you want to change the trek the amount you paid will be deducted if the new trek cost is greater then the cancelled trek and if the new trek cost is less the remaining amount will be refunded.

(b) In case of booking of less than three members and the trek is cancelled due to no further trekker available, the customer will get full refund and will get a discount coupon of 10% having validity for a year.

Case 2 : If the trek is cancelled by the customer

(a) If the trek is cancelled by the customer prior to 45 days of booking date - 100 % of the total trek fee will be refunded i.e no cancellation fee.

(b) If the trek is cancelled by the customer between 30-45 days of booking date - 70 % of the total trek fee will be refunded.

(c) If the trek is cancelled by the customer between 15-30 days of booking date - 50 % of the total trek fee will be refunded.

(d) If the trek is cancelled by the customer between 1-15 days of booking date - No amount will be refunded.
