Cabo de Rama Beach is one of the most beautiful and serene beaches in Goa, and also one of the least crowded and commercialized ones. The beach is named after Lord Rama, the hero of the epic Ramayana, who is believed to have spent some time here with his wife Sita during their exile.

The beach is surrounded by lush green coconut trees and overlooks a majestic Portuguese fort that stands on a steep rock. The beach has a blue and green hue of the water, a fine and pure sand, and some stones sticking out in some places. The beach is ideal for relaxing, sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying the scenic views. However, be careful of the sharp reefs and strong currents that can make swimming dangerous. Also, be prepared to find minimal tourist infrastructure and facilities on the beach, except for a Baywatch. You will need to bring your own food, water, and other essentials if you plan to spend a long time on the beach.

Cabo De Rama Reviews

An off beaten place of interest in Goa situated in the remotest of place and hidden away from prying eyes among the mountains and the seas. This fort is dripping in history of years of violence which once served as a strategic defence on the sea shores of the erstwhile Portuguese empire. As I stood on the edge of the cliffs and roll my fingers over the walls now overgrown with moss and plants, I could picture magnificent enemy war ships with large cannons raging on the stormy seas attempting to land on the shores while a swarm of arch-men valiantly try to defend the fort and sacrificing their lives in honour of their king. And now I could only see rows of coconut trees all over the place, slippery ledges and the clear blue waters finally blending on the horizon. It was a hot summer day with the sun shining directly over my head and making me tired and parched with every step I took. The fort was extravagantly large and seemed almost unending. I couldn't imagine the time and effort it must have taken to fortify the territory and how well it must have been guarded. I was also amazed how well it survived over the centuries in the face of wars and greed. By the time I finished the tour I was dying of thirst. And the tour ended with a bottle of beer to satiate my thirst. So, it was a day which isforeveritched into the memories of my heart.
So Day2: "My tip to new travellers to Goa. Don't roam around in the morning times". So day starts at 11 AM, we went for breakfast at that time it like lunch. Per person it cost ₹100. We took 3 bikes for rent each cost ₹350. We started towards South, no place is in our minds at that moment. Meanwhile we have crossed rivers and beaches whenever we felt cool we stopped there and clicked picture. We have went on the road of South cost, nearly after 30 KM we have reached Cobo-de-rama. It is one of beautiful place both beach and the fort offers you the spectacular views. We saw the fort and it is not that boaring but you can plan good photo shoot, less visitors so no irritation. Later we went to a restaurant (it operates in November, December and January) At the edge of the cliff of Cobo-de-rama beach. By the time we went to restaurants it is 3:30 pm full sunny moment, that's why we stopped here to escape from sun. That is awesome restaurant not just because of the place and even the taste, we sat down and ordered food and beer, having delicious food by watching sea. Oh god that is million dollarsmoment. By the sunset time we went to beach and played over there and we enjoyed the beautiful sunset and don't miss that moments.
A perfect start for a perfect day. A friendship's day special one day outing with friends. 250km of single day drive through south goa and exploring the unknown. One car,8 friends and a memories created. Day starts from meet up point at sakhali or also known as sanquelium, in north goa district. 4 points to be covered. Drive started to 1st point that is famous cliff point caba-de-rama in south goa. Beautiful cliff view narrow roads to get there, worth visit. 2nd point went a little further for caba-de-rama fort. Portugal ruling period fort, amazing window view of the big blue sea and the cliff. 3rd point went to cola waterfall which ends in the sea and also a short hikking to the most wonderful view. Hill top view. Hence, we reach to half day and hungry stomachs went for a nice lunch to palolem beach resort, with sea view shacks. After lunch, went to final 4th point, a beautiful temple of lord shiva, called as manjunath temple. Completing all points jounery started back to home, and this way completed a one day outing with amazing friends. Started from sakhali-caba de rama- caba de rama fort -palolem beach- manjunath temple. Total distance cover 250km.
Cabo de Rama:Probably my favourite location in South Goa, this little piece of heaven in Canacona isn't visited much by tourists. No, I'm not talking about the Cabo De Rama fort, but the piece of land which extends ahead of the fort, it is a treasure! Hike to the end/tip of this land extension for 270 degrees views of the Arabian Sea and some of the best landscapes in Goa - trust me when I say this! You can be adventurous and hike down to the shore but most of it is rocky. We found a sweet spot, the way down and up is tricky, had a lot of pebbles and rocks. Came back with many scars but every second of it was worth it! On one side of this land is a very small cave, you can get down here. One of the most unforgettable moments of the trip was spotting wild dolphins here, playing and flipping right in front of us! Cabo De Rama also has a beautiful beach, a little away from the fort, can be reached via Google maps. Tip: Carry water bottles, hat, sunglasses. Early Morning is the best time to visit this place. There's a restaurant right outside the fort.
5. Become aware of your tiny-ness at the Cabo de Rama fort -The Cabo de Rama fort is a 19th century Portugese fort which has lived through many battles of history. Now, it is a popular tourist attraction of South Goa. The fort has many vantage points from you'll be able to see the endless length and breadth of the sea, mighty cliffs with uncountable trees, waves crashing at the feet of the cliffs, and the vast, bright blue sky. Everything about the Cabo de Rama is ginormous - even its banyan trees and grasses. The trunks of the trees are so wide that they'll need at least three adult human beings to hug them in a circle. The grasses here grow so tall that you could play hide and seek in them. This one's going to be yet another overwhelming experience for you.
