Itinerary
  • Arrival at Paro airport
  • Meet and greet on arrival and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan
  • Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel
  • The evening is free to explore the Thimphu town by walk
  • Overnight stay at Thimphu
  • After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing
  • Witness the Buddha Dordenma Statue, a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha on the top of the Kuensel Phodrang
  • Then, head towards the National Memorial Chorten Stupas: The Chorten or stupa was built in the memory of the third king
  • Next, visit Takin Zoo: the national animal of Bhutan can be seen here
  • Move on to explore Changangkha Lhakhang: This structure dates back to the 15th century and is one of the oldest in the region
  • After that, visit Simply Bhutan Museum: Projects is a living museum and a photo studio
  • You get to experience the traditions and household rituals of Bhutan in this museum
  • In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion)
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu
  • After breakfast, drive to Punakha / Wangdue
  • On the way, stop at Dochula-Pass (3150 m) a beautiful mountain pass

  • An afternoon visit to Punakha Dzong
  • After that, take a short and easy hike to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang

  • Hiking to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which clings to a cliff 3,000 feet above the valley floor
  • Legend has it that Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) flew to this location on the back of a tiger in the 8th century
  • Guru Rinpoche introduced Buddhism to their country, and the Taktsang Monastery is one of the principal pilgrimage destinations in Bhutan
  • Spend time with the monks as they pray chant and pursue their sacred duties
  • Later, visit Drukgyel Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang
  • Overnight stay in Paro
