Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Paro airport
Meet and greet on arrival and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan
Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel
The evening is free to explore the Thimphu town by walk
Overnight stay at Thimphu

Day 2

After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing
Witness the Buddha Dordenma Statue, a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha on the top of the Kuensel Phodrang
Then, head towards the National Memorial Chorten Stupas: The Chorten or stupa was built in the memory of the third king
Next, visit Takin Zoo: the national animal of Bhutan can be seen here
Move on to explore Changangkha Lhakhang: This structure dates back to the 15th century and is one of the oldest in the region
After that, visit Simply Bhutan Museum: Projects is a living museum and a photo studio
You get to experience the traditions and household rituals of Bhutan in this museum
In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion)
Overnight stay in Thimphu

Day 3

After breakfast, drive to Punakha / Wangdue
On the way, stop at Dochula-Pass (3150 m) a beautiful mountain pass
Arrival in Punakha and check-in at the hotel
An afternoon visit to Punakha Dzong
After that, take a short and easy hike to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang
The evening is free at leisure
Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue

Day 4

After breakfast, drive to Paro (7,483 ft.)
On the way, stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Park
On arrival, check-in at the hotel
An afternoon visit to Ta Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc.
Then, proceed to Rinpung Dzong - meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels"
The dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro
The evening is free at leisure

Day 5

Hiking to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which clings to a cliff 3,000 feet above the valley floor
Legend has it that Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) flew to this location on the back of a tiger in the 8th century
Guru Rinpoche introduced Buddhism to their country, and the Taktsang Monastery is one of the principal pilgrimage destinations in Bhutan
Spend time with the monks as they pray chant and pursue their sacred duties
Later, visit Drukgyel Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang
Overnight stay in Paro

Day 6

After breakfast checkout from the hotel
Drop at Paro airport for your onward journey
