  • Y.T. Hotel (3-star) or Meri Puensum Resort (3-star) in Punakha, or similar
  • Hotel Phuntsho Pelri (2-star) or Wangchuk Hotel (3-star) or Yeedzin Hotel (4-star) in Thimphu, or similar
Itinerary
  • Arrive in Paro
  • After immigration formalities and baggage collection, you will be met by our representative
  • Afterwards, enjoy a drive to Thimphu
  • Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel
  • In the evening, go for an exploratory walk around Thimphu main street and market area
  • Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu (Altitude 2,320 m)
  • After breakfast, drive to Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) located at a short drive from Thimphu city centre
  • Then, visit King's Memorial Chorten continuously circumambulated by people, murmuring mantras and spinning their prayer wheels
  • Afterwards visit the Textile Museum to experience the living national art of weaving
  • Then, head towards the Folk Heritage Museum
  • Post lunch, visit Changangkha Lhakhang - a fortress like temple and monastic school perched on a ridge above Thimphu
  • Head to Pangri Zampa where Buddhist students monks learn Lamaism and astrology based on Buddhist philosophy
  • Later in the afternoon, visit Trashichhoe dzong, ‘fortress of the glorious religion’
  • In the evening, time can be spent strolling through the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts bazaar
  • Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu (Altitude 2,320 m)
  • After breakfast, drive to Thimphu with an en-route stop at Chuzom, the confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers
  • Explore three different style of stupas; Tibetan, Nepalese and Bhutanese adorn this confluence
  • After breakfast, drive to Punakha / Wangduephodrang across Dochu La
  • Located at a height of 3,088 m or 10,130 ft, Dochula is a scenic location with chorten, mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate this highest point on the road
  • If skies are clear, it may be possible to see peaks from this pass
  • In the afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong or the Palace of Great Happiness
  • Later in the day, go for an excursion to Chimi Lhakhang
  • The Chimi Lhakhang, situated on a hillock in the centre of the valley, is also known as the temple of fertility
  • A walk through the village near the temple will give you rare glimpses into the daily life and lifestyle of the villagers
  • Overnight at the hotel in Punakha / Wangduephodrang (Altitude 1,300 m)
  • After breakfast, drive back to Paro descending back down from Dochu La
  • Follow the way back up the dramatic Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys, before crossing through Paro town towards the north end of the valley
  • En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, one of the oldest fortress of the country and known as the place of profound tantric teaching
  • Later in the day after checking into the hotel, proceed to visit Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum
  • Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, meaning “fortress of the heap of jewels”
  • Overnight at the hotel in Paro (Altitude 2,280 m)
  • After breakfast, head out for an excursion to Taktshang Monastery (approx. 5 hours round trip walk) 
  • It is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor
  • Or, after breakfast, go on a driving excursion to Chalela Pass
  • Chele la (pass), at an elevation 3,988 meters is considered to be one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan
  • About an hour's drive along a thickly-forested road, is this Pass-a botanical paradise
  • The pass provides stunning views of the sacred mountain Jomolhari and Jichu Drake
  • Later, en route go on an excursion to Dzong drakha Goempa
  • Often called as mini Takstang, Dzong drakha is a cliff-side temple complex on the western side of the Paro Valley
  • Located approx. 20 minute drive away from Paro, these temples are built on a cliff above Bondey village but the walk is not as strenuous as Taktshang
  • By road, it is about 30 minutes walk to reach here 
  • In the afternoon, visit the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo
  • The building of this temple marks the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan
  • The evening is at leisure in Paro city centre
  • Overnight at the hotel in Paro (Altitude 2,280 m)
  • After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the airport for flight to your onward destination
  • Our representative will help you with exit formalities and then bid you farewell

Cancellation any time after making the 1st payment instalment till the 2nd payment date: The entire amount paid as 1st payment instalment (deposit) would be non-refundable.

Cancellation after 2nd payment instalment and before 3rd or final payment date: The total amount that was due at the 2nd payment instalment as per your payment schedule would be non-refundable; anything that you have paid over and above this amount would be refundable.

Cancellation after 3rd or final payment date: The full amount paid by you would be non-refundable.
