Hi. How many days are you going for? I was there for two days and we stayed in Hippie Island, on the other side of the river. Remember to carry cash, sunscreen, shades, and a cap!
The last boat is around 5 PM to get to and from Hippie Island to Hampi city.
Don't miss the sunset and sunrises. The auto drivers there are very helpful and will take you to all the spots. You can also rent a bike and ride around. Hampi is also good for bouldering and there's a sound healing session that happens twice a day on the other side of the river. Beware and enjoy the monkeys! Do some cafe hopping if you're on a leisure trip!
It's usually gets hotter at this time of the year. Be sure you're all covered for the Sun. Explore Hampi by renting a Bicycle/Moped. Or hire an Auto if you've great bargaining skills and/or tired. Do visit the Archeological Museum in Kamalapur, Sanapur Lake and Hippie Island.
