A 5- hour drive away from Bangalore is the lovely hill station of Wayanad. You could leave early morning on Saturday . The drive is beautiful, green and scenic all around, with quite a few places to stop over and eat. I personally love to eat at the highways. Wayanad is a little place, full of lovely tea estates. Forests and wildlife are in abundance. Visit Vythiri and Kuruwadweep for a memorable weekend. There's a cute wildlife sanctuary too, which lies at the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, it's an hour from Wayanad.
