If you're traveling in group, it'll be better if you check AirBnB. You can get a full apartment in cheaper price. My office group went last year and booked a 2bhk apartment in 2500 per day only in December. So try AirBnB.

Hi, You can book backpacker hostels . They are fun and cost peanuts. They are better than hotels I think. I stayed in Wanderer's hostel for just Rs. 300 a day. It was also near the morjim beach.
