I wouldn't suggest you to come via Bangalore or Mysore or bandipur. Just come to Coimbatore. you can go to kotagiri kodanad at North and see Ooty and go all the way along wayanad. if you feel Ooty is too mainstream you can head south side of Coimbatore to pollachi aliyar Valparai. Valparai Is a beauty. you can see sholayur and then explore malakkpara. another destination you can cover if you are in Coimbatore is munnar idukki also. apart from that there is also palakkad neliyampathy if you come to Coimbatore. there are other lots of other small places like thirumoorthi hills or anaikatti
