Take the morning boat from the rajiv gandhi water sports complex jetty. The cost will be around 200 per person. You'll reach to the island in 20 minutes. There you can either hire the taxi to show you around or can go by yourself. I preferred the later means. The taxi will show you only the main attractions but by yourself, you can go into every corner of the island as it is very small and it'll take 3-4 hours to complete it by foot. You'll be amazed to see the English style structures, some in ruins and some as it is as it was. Happy Travelling.

If budget isn't a constraint hire taxi, otherwise follow the route mentioned by Naveen JAISWAL below.

Reach this beach, through Diglipur in North Andaman. From Diglipur catch a boat from the jetty to reach the Ross and Smith island . You need 2/3 days for this (if you are travelling by road from Port Blair)

The Ross and Smith Islands are situated close to Diglipur which is located around 300 km from Port Blair which would require approx 8-10 hrs of drive. The ideal place to stay would be Turtle Resort of the Tourism department at Diglipur. It is advisable to keep a minimum of two days in your itinerary in case you need to cover these Islands. Good Luck!! Happy Travelling!!
