Hi, Do you want to visit both the destinations as the distance between Shimla to Manali is around 246 km. You can anyway travel to both the destinations under minimal budget. Opt to stay in a budget homestay/hotel in Shimla and Manali. Check best available options here: https://www.tripoto.com/hotels. Use local transport (HRTC buses and shared cabs) to minimize the cost involved in exploration/sightseeing. You stay at hostels/ budget hotels in Shimla and Manali to minimize costs. Also to travel between cities, you should take local buses of HPRTC.

Yes, I would like to come to resort only for the facilities which I can avail easily. I like all the services in resort where I can use the pools, restaurant, and others. Recently I have visited Shimla and stay in Toshali Royal View. I must say this this the perfect for spending vacation time.
