I have done Scuba Diving few days ago. And yes Non-Swimmer can do Scuba Diving. The PADI Divers are very careful about us. Just one thing don't get Panic underwater.
Hello Sierra, Of course, Scuba diving can be done by non- swimmers. It is a unforgettable experience one can do. Instructor also will help you & guide you carefully. Experience you get under the sea let you feel that you are in a different world
Yes. I'm a non swimmer and have done Scuba diving. For beginners, the instructors will first conduct a training is shallow water and teach you the signs to use underwater and how to breathe using regulator, etc. (as you won't be breathing though nose but through your mouth into the regulator). Only when you're comfortable in the water, they'll be taking you underwater for diving and even then they will be with you and controlling pressure, etc. All you have to do is float and breathe and enjoy the underwater scenery.
The answer is yes and no. If you are planning on going for a fun dive, it is not required to be a swimmer. On the other hand, if you are thinking of getting an Open Water Diver (OWD) certificate, it is best if you know some swimming.
Also, since sea water is heavier than normal water, it helps you with your buoyancy.
I'm personally a super lazy swimmer but I've been diving around many places now.
Do hit me up if you want to know anything about diving. Always happy to help.
