Hi! Leh is the capital of Ladakh district, so when you say you want a 5-day itinerary of Leh, I suppose you want to spend time exploring the beautiful attractions around it as well. Leh itself has plenty to see as well, such as the Leh Palace, Vipassana centre, a one-of-its-kind donkey century and several homestays that best reflect the way of life in the Himlayas. If you are reaching on the 23rd, then I would suggest you spend at least two-days acclimatizing to the altitude and then only move further up to explore Ladakh. Here is a detailed itinerary to help you out: https://goo.gl/j3V6aa

First of all, congratulations! For you'll be getting Leh'd Assuming that you'll be reaching by afternoon. I'd recommend you to acclimatise yourself for the day while exploring the market and getting yourself a transport for rest of your travelling in Leh. Either you can get a cab or bike rented for 5 days. Since I am budget traveller, I always find a way to spend least and travel more. 24th Aug. - You can spend your day by exploring the Gompas and Monasteries around and in Leh. Because it is even known as city of Gompas, so you obviously dont wanna miss them 25th Aug- You can now actually start travelling and exploring Ladakh. From Leh to Nubra/Hunder Valley via Khardung La. This way you will cover Khardung La, Nubra, Hunder Sand Dunes. You'll probably reach by 5 or 6 if you start early. Either you can spend your evening with camel rides and all at Sand Dunes. And spend your night at Nubra Or go further to Turtuk Village, it is the last village from that side of India. and possibly the most beautiful place you'll come across in your journey. And spend night there. (If you cover Turtuk Village on 25th you wont have to give a full day of 26th for Turtuk then) 26th Aug- Nubra/Turtuk Village to Pangong Lake. and Spend Night at Tso Pangong. Do get up early and have a sight of lake at around 4:30 in the morning. It looks so beautiful i cant express. 27th Aug- Pangong to Leh. And dont forget to try out the amazing cafe?s in Leh. Serves a great quality and tasty food. Hoping that you are not counting 23rd in your 5 days. You can also travel to Tso Moriri on 27th from Pangong. Stay at pangong amd reach back Leh on 28th. If you want to have a budget travel. you can check how i did my "10 days travelling in LESS THAN 2250 INR. and went till Leh. " https://www.tripoto.com/trip/leh-couldn-t-have-been-597823ff239db
