Yes you need to upload your videos through Youtube then you will get the credits. I also got the credits for 2 videos.

You can't upload video directly into Tripoto, You have to upload your video in you tube, then share the link here and if your video quality was good then you will get credits

Ideally you should but remember the video isn't uploaded but the link to the video
