Ya may be . Provided you stay for just one night and use public transport as far as possible . Also go for hostel accommodation for that one night . Jaisalmer is a reasonable place
I have been to Jaisalmer and I think its enough as far as you are a budget traveller and dont expect high luxury in your trip.
Go for a stay for one night at Sam sand dunes which will cost you upto 2k (including food and halt there)
for exploring local sight seeing spots, you may easily invest 500₹ and get the best of it....
happy travelling... ;)
You can choose to stay in any hostel near to the fort area so that you can explore the jaisalmer fort and near by Patwon ki haveli area by walk..also you can walk down to famous Dhanraj ranmal bhatia sweet shop for some street food.. You can take an auto to Gadisar lake which will cost you around 60 Rs. Desert safari is bit costly around 1.5 k. so plan accordingly.
Bro.. you need to give clear information on your stay duration.. it is never easy to explore everything about a particular place...
There's Jaisalmer Fort, Patwaon ki Haveli, Gadsisar Lake, War Museum, Desert National park, Bada Bagh etc to see in Jaisalmer..
Let us know what exactly are you going to explore, how many days..
there are some hostels available there pricing from 400 Rs. try staying there.. you can increase your duration of stay.. Use public transport.. Mix with the locals to get information and explore more for free ;)
May be, But it's all depends on your plane from starting your home to your destination. but it would be better if you carry few more money with you To enjoy your trip
Yes you can complete Jaisalmer trip in 2500 if you're not taking desert Safari.
Also it depends on the place you're starting.
if it's from Delhi, take a train to and fro which will costs you 780 - 900 and take a hostel(if you're traveling alone )which will cost you 280/- to 350/-
and from the circle all the hostels are in 1 km radius
yes you can complete the trip
the forts entry tickets are like this
haveli - 100
Jain temple - 200
gadi Sagar lake - free
and rest are all like affordable
hope it helps !
You can save most of the money by traveling in night, so that you dont even have to book a room and next day you can easily explore the day and if you are not luxury driven person i think 2500 bucks in an manageable amount. Happy travelling.
According to me It depends on time you want to spend in Jaisalmer , the city is not cheap and not expensive either . if you hotels are booked you can cover this place in the mentioned budget for couple of days
