Enroute there is nothing as such...many touristy things to do in panchgani and mahabaleshwar. Like table lands, sydney point, art village, mapro gardens.

Take a cab or zoom car if you know driving, visit Panchgani and then Mahabaleshwar, obviously Mapro garden on the way to it

If you are travelling in a group or with someone, you can easily book a cab. if you are alone or on a budget, you may take an overnight bus and reach Panchgani easily. a weekend stay at Zostel should do for a place like Panchgani.
