Hey Sayantan, Mostly snowfall starts after October in Gangtok but you cannot predict the weather. You can visit during Jan- April to enjoy snowfall at Nathula pass. Hello sayantan, Quite difficult to find snow in the month of october. But you never know about weather condition.
I would recommend to check through AccuWeather.com before you plan. Enjoy travelling!!!

It depends on the place you go in Sikkim. In winters (Nov-feb) pretty much everywhere.But in Oct you can find snow up in the hill like Nathu la , lake tsomgo etc. Gangtok does receive snow in winters but not in October. ... Still there is a high probability to get snow at Gurudongmar,Nathula Pass,Yumeshdong and Katao Hill.

Hi Sayantan, As per my experience you will not get snow most of the places of Sikkim in October. Still there is a high probability to get snow at Gurudongmar,Nathula Pass,Yumeshdong and Katao Hill. ... Gangtok does receive snow in winters but not in October. To be honest, I guess no you won’t.. Actually due to the change in weather pattern now it's not much snowfall in Nathu la now, but it does happen in the midway to NathuLa. But yes, if you wanna enjoy the snow, you must visit North Sikkim late November to 1st week of January.
