Hi Chirag trivedi ,
The most ideal time to cover this trek is in December . During this period, the footfall is minimum, and you don't have to criss-cross huge crowds. With 105 km of Chadar trek distance, this 9-day long trek requires you to face extreme weather conditions. The temperature dips as low as -30 degree celsius during nights.
(Contact me for collaboration during this trek).
Hi Ankit...it came to my knowledge that Chadar Trek is about to be banned (just like Roopkund Trek)...please confirm...it is always on the top list to complete Chadar Trek....
No.
'Chadar' is the layer of ice on the surface of Zanskar river. It takes few weeks of extreme cold for the formation of Ice. The winter sets in full fledge post November and is at it's peak during January and February. January is seen as the safest and best time to do Chadar Trek. Though there have been instances of the Chadar been not formed at some places, but most of the time it is the best time to visit. Thanks, Cheers
