Hey, there are a lot of things you wanna do when you are in Pondi;
First of all park your ride in a Parking and just roam around the local colonies and experience firsthand the french architecture.
Promenade is one place you can visit everyday and spend some quality time.
Serenity beach.
Churches.
Cafe's are very good there.
Then ofcourse you can always visit Aurovile it's not very far away from pondi.
