It is always a smart idea to carry spare photographs along with your legal photo ID's. i have experienced the same in Nepal. Also please keep xerox of IDs just in case, it may come handy, you never know.

Not required. Incase, required,then mostly at train stops we have automatic passport size photograph clicker machine,you can use them instantly
