Yes absolutely... one can hear the sound of waves hitting the rock, meditate at the Mother Ashram, straight roads and vibrant colors of French colony, the sound of century old cathedral bells and Auroville, a soothing place with its splendid architecture
Yes absolutely. It is not that much time consuming hardly take you 2 days to cover all the tourist places in Pondicherry and not much expensive.
You can make plans for your weekend just to chill out.
Thanks
Absolutely. I studied in Chidambarm, the temple town which was 64 km away. We used to go to Pondicherry for cheap booze and buy clothes. The place has good number of outlets selling stuff from Tripur textile factories. Then Auroville's thrift shops are fantastic. Walking along the road near promenade and dinner at Hotel Tavern was the usual routine.I always wanted to be there. Worth visiting.
Yes, It is one of the popular destinations in south India. It is the Best place to witness the sun-kissed beaches to ashrams and meditation centres and in the end experience the fragment of history left behind by the French.
