Suppose you have a blog and the you want to paste the same article on Tripoto. So, according to Google's SEO algorithm, the value of your blog might drop down due to duplicate nature of the article (provided your blog has higher reach than Tripoto). If code 'rel=canonical' is present in the web coding of the websites like Tripoto, it helps Google understand that the article pasted or published here belong to the original owner of the blog.
Hey Sumeet, Unsure of the thing you are asking ... the probability of duplications of your own blog can be checked with Tripoto people only .. .. best is to drop your query mail to info@tripito.com and get it resolved ... Happy Blogging and Happy Travelling Bro!!!

Not sure about that whether they use it to prevent the duplicate content issue. And there are chances that they specify the canonical URL -The original source
