Hey Urgan, Amritsar has mainly 3 paced to visit for .. Golden temple in the Morning and then Jallianwallabagh for afternoon .... After that you can go to Wagah border. .. and yeah this 26th dre s a special concert by varun dhawan i guess ... so you need to buy tickets in advance ... and obviously it's a great idea to go to border and enjoy the ceremony of retreat ... Golden Temple, Jallianwala bagh and wagah border are only places in Amritsar but, food and shopping is really good. I would suggest you to arrange passes beforehand as there is so much crowd there.

Hi urgan, in Amritsar you can visit Golden temple, Jalliawala Bagh and Wagah Border in the evening.
On the republic day of course there will be huge crowd but bsf police is there to manage it.

You should definitely go to Wagah Border at that time...yes there would be huge crowd..so security will be strict and good

Going to Wagha Border is never a bad Idea. you feel amazing after coming back.
In Amritsar you can go to Golden Temple, Jaliyanwala bagh and yes for shopping there are lots of shops outside the golden temple. Happy Holidays!!

I recently visited Amritsar for a day, if you can check my profile.
As everyone is saying, especially there are 3 things to visit in Amritsar- Golden temple, jallianwala bagh, wagah border.
For wagah border I believe on the eve of republic day, you need to reach there couple of hours early, as there will be heavy crowd on that day and to sit on first row you must go 3 hours early.

3 major highlights wagah border, golden temple and jalia wala bagh. Lassi and kulcha(must try) and if you can find fruit cream it's amazing(you can find them close to golden temple itself)

Hey u can visit
1. Golden Temple (morning and night). it's beautiful to see in under lights
2. jalianwala Bagh
3. Wagah border. it will be overcrowded that time. but it's must visit.
4. if you are little religious then you can go Mata lal Devi ji temple in Rani Ka bagh.
