Both have different purposes. If you travel on bike or on cycle u cant mount a dslr but surely gopro. At the same time if u only want to make videos and take high resolution photos go for dslr. Go pro is an action camera. It capture while you are doing some action, but at that time you cant handle dslr. I hope it makes sense.
