Hi Deepak. Lakshadweep islands are a part of India. Thus, you do not need a passport for Lakshadweep if you are a citizen of India. However, not islands there are open to visitors. Lakshdweep is our own Union Territory. You don't require passport to visit it. However, for some parts you need permits.

Indians do not require a passport to travel to any Indian state or UT. lakshadeeep is very much a part of India.
