Yes,you have to.But when we visited the goa;they give us the scooty on our college id.So You can give a try or ask the license from ur Friends.

Original license is necessary to show at the time of hiring a two wheeler or four wheeler. They will keep original pancard or aadhar card with them till the time you hire a particular vehicle. It is advisable to hire a yellow plate (tourist permit) vehicle as they will give you private number vehicles at cheaper rates, though now a days if caught by traffic police, they confiscate the vehicle or put a heavy penalty.
