Hey Niveditha, I just got back from a trip to Mashobra, it's a quaint little town situated near Shimla. Yes you can go to Macleodganj and definitely go for triund trek. It's a budget trip and won't cost u more than 5-6k if u r going from Delhi....

Depends on where you want to go ? mountains, plains, desert , beaches etc. , if mountains , 4 days are sufficient for a trip to sigri, kausani, chaukori in uttarakhand ! if you want to see snow, then you could add one more day and visit munsiari ...
