Lonavala is a good option... monsoons add beauty to the place Matheran , Mahabaleshwar, Gokarna can also be considered.. If you an adventure lover, Bhandardara,Pawana lake treks can be your destination

Lavasa is just a one day trip from pune...Not much to do there..except the view points along the way..Lonavala can be done if 2-3 days..Goa needs atleast 4-5 days and it is much more happening and Life around..but in July Lonavala is the best..coz all waterfalls and greenery around

July would be monsoon season (hopefully) people mostly don't like traveling to beach destination at that time. though I personally feel Goa has a different charm at monsoon but if you want to really enjoy the beaches of Goa, skip in July and give Lonavala Lavasa a try since they are beautiful in monsoon!

As July is the rainy season in Goa but still I prefer going Goa rather than going Lonavala or Lavasa as Lavasa is is under maintenance so there is no point of going there and Lonavla is a one day destination.
