It would take 1 and a half hour to reach Mussoriee from Dehradun from bus and would cost around INR 45-60. However if price is not a major concern you can go for taxi for a more comfortable trip and that would cost you between INR1000-1200 , shared taxis can cost you a bit cheaper though.
In dehradun you can visit robber's cove and forest research insitute
Mussoorie - mall road, kempty falls, gun hill point, lal tibba scenic point, you can also visit dhanaulti
Hi Francis, if u are an adventurous person here in Mussoorie you get more opportunities for that.
- paragliding, zip lining,rope way
- water activities near Yamuna river- water rafting, river crossing, boat duckling, river rappling etc
If you are tight on your budget- Public buses will be best... Easily available at Inter State Bus Terminal, around 70 per head. If you’re deep-pocketed- Book a local taxi/ola, Rs 1K+. It could go up to 2k on seasons. Definitely more comfortable than the bus. You won't feel exhausted when you reach the destination and will be ready to explore.
If you're a wanderer- Rent a Bike. However, I am not sure about the prices, should be 400+. Please do your own research. This means will give you more flexibility and choices to explore.
But do not opt for this if you are new to hilly roads as accidents are common, should be an experienced driver. Also, even if you are a decent driver you might get exhausted. Take breaks in between. And places to visit in mussorie : Kempty Falls, Lal tibba, Lake Mist, Cloud's end(offbeat place) Mall Road, Gun Hill Point and mussorie lake(give it a last priority) Dont Miss Dhanaulti and Kanatal and Tehri Dam (1-2 hrs ride from mussorie)
