It’s best during the winter months. Even though mine wasn’t a solo trip, I enjoyed the tranquility and calmness of Auroville and the unique European vibe of French colonies

I would not recommend Pondicherry during the summers and monsoon as the weather is very hot.
Pondicherry is a small town in the southern coast of india, 2-3 days is enough to enjoy.
1 day in Pondicherry and 1-2 days in Auroville.

Pondy is the best for solo trip. Though winters are the best but I have been in the middle of june too & things were fine
