As you land in Madurai spend a day in Madurai. Starting from Meenakshi Amman temple, don’t forget visiting koodal azhagar temple, Mariamman teppakulam and Thiruparankundram. Don’t miss tasting food in Murugan idly shop and sip jigarthanda at Famous jigarthanda shop. Evening you could shop around one maasi street. Next day you can plan for Kanyakumari which is 3 hours drive from Madurai. Evening you could start exploration with Kanyakumari Amman temple, adjacent is the beach and Gandhi Mandapam. Near the beach you get to taste yum dosa and parotta. Next day you could plan sunrise view at Sothavilai beach or drive to sanguthurai beach. After breakfast you could visit Vivekananda memorial and Thiruvalluvar statue. By then lunch time would arrive. Evening you could arrange for a cab or book bus to reach Rameshwaram by night. It’s a 5 hour journey. You could start your day in Rameshwaram with visit to Rameshwaram temple, Agni theertham and Jatayu theertham for all three temples are in the same premises. From here travel to Dhanushkodi for beach views, picturesque views and ruin town stories. On your return stop by pamban bridge, jada thirtham, and villondhi therrtham. There are boat rides near Pamban bridge kindly check if it is operational even today. You could start your next day visit to Sri Abdul Kalam house and memorial visit stop by Lakshmana theertham, do silk shopping and proceed towards Madurai. In Madurai evening you could plan for Thirumalai Nayakar mahal visit, azhagar Kovil, Gandhi museum visit. If at all you have enough time for your flight don’t miss out on tasting food at Shankwalla, shopping on all four streets around the temple, inmayil nanmai taruvar temple near to sundareshwar temple, tasting chilli parotta in arthi hotel, trying lunch at sabarish buying macaroni and chocolate sticks from Raja barley shop.

You will get stunned with brilliant architecture of Temple. Explore some other places in Madurai and then hire a taxi to reach Rameshwaram through Pamban Bridge. It will take around 3-4 hours to reach with a halt on Pamban Bridge for amazing views. You can also catch a train to experience the travel through Sea. After arriving Rameshwaram, check in your hotel/Dharamshala and visit Temple for evening Darshan. On Day 2, wake up early in the morning by 3 or 4AM to have morning darshan at Ramanathswamy Temple. Perform pooja, Abhishek and have darshan at Temple. Afterwards return back to hotel and have rest or go for sightseeing. You can also choose day 3 for full fledged sightseeing. Catch a train for Kanyakumari as per scheduled time. Enjoy the early morning sunrise view at Kanyakumari Beach. Visit Kumari Temple and enjoy the lovely beaches of Kanyakumari.
