Hey to book a package from a travel agency is more reliable as it will be a new country. You can also have your free time where you can explore places on your own as well may be after 4pm daily. We have booked a similar tour for us as well.

Hey, I went to Thailand a few years ago and me or my group we usually first make the itinerary, book hotels or hostels in advance n that's how we visit which we find more convenient and we enjoy more as well. So in my opinion you should just do a solo without any agency. And after u reach there (Phuket or Pattaya) u will find many tour operators n their shops, u can book small tours with them, they'll pick up from the hotel and leave u back at Ur hotel,or u can hire a bike there, buses are also really good. Anyway the people are friendly there so u won't have any trouble. Enjoy ur trip 😃

You don't need to plan via package or anything. Just book hostel or hotel based on your preference, rest you can decide once you reach there. Water activities are major attraction. Don't forget the Bangkok shopping.

You can plan Thailand on your own. better to book accommodation in advance and the rest can be done once you reach there. one downside is that the people are not very friendly and language issues.

Hi Bharath.. Self plan and packages both have their pros.. Try planning it out by yourself.. even tour packages will be pick up and drop in evening which you can buy from phuket vendors.. at 350-450 per day. Book a hotel near to locations you want to visit.. If you are going to Bangkok for temples mainly.. I would suggest Chiang Mai for better experience.. We enjoyed more in Krabi, Phi Phi than Bangkok.. But it depends how much time you spend there and what places you are covering.. taxi transport may be a problem in Bangkok, prefer trains as much as you can.

A package will be best for the solo trip. There are lot of budget packages for thailand on mmt. They will take care of transportation, hotels, entry fees and places to visit.

A package will give you accomodation + travel + sightseeing in a budgeted price if you want to do everything they offer. if not , self plan and book according to what you wish to see or do.

For Thailand, plan the itinerary yourself and try booking hotels and flights from the online portals and for sight seeings their are plenty of options available in Phuket and Bangkok or if you prefer ask an agent to book the sight seeing part. I would suggest to design the itinerary according to what you want and not what the agent wants.

Yes , Packages are very cheaper for thailand so its better to book through agents ....there is not much difference of cost ..because of demand agents are selling packages as low as mark up around INR 500 maximum they go for 2000 ,so its better to book through agents ....just take 2 or 03 quotes from different agency you will easily get to know ...Bon Voyage

Hiii few years back we went Bangkok and Phuket...we planned trip by our own but we facing a little problem of language because of which we have to wait around 2 hrs at outside of airport as our driver was not able to find us...so here is my recommendation that book hotel in advance with facility of pick up. I guess for Bangkok you may planned via agency but for Phuket you can easily plan by yourself. you don't required advance booking for Phuket or other sightseeing. For Phuket you can easily get reasonable traveller from airport to hotel. And for other sightseeing you have options to book from hotel but I'll recommend you do it by yourself from local traveller as we found it more reasonable. if you need more details about hotels and all you can DM me... have happy journey...
