Despite the relentless heat prevailing in most parts of the country, the country still has a lot of places that are perfect for a summer vacation. Few options I will recommend - Manali, Shimla, Darjeeling, Mussoorie, Nainital, Gangtok.

Hill stations are always preferred during Summers. Himachal in North, Darjeeling in East, Ooty in South or, Mahabaleshwar, Matheran in West are few of the options.

Depends on where you are located. I'm a native of Kerala and we have pretty good hill stations here like, Munnar ,Vagamon, Wayanad, et.c. So if you plan to visit these places, you may also cover Kodaikana, Ooty, Koli hills .. these are to the other side of the western ghats . in Tamil nadu

There is no other best place in the world except kashmir to visit in Summer, weather in Srinagar remains so pleasant, temperature if goes above 35 and it gonna rain definitely. you gonna definitely love
