Considering the situation right now , it would be safe to travel within India.. you can try Gangtok and Darjeeling. else Assam Is also a good option if your kid loves wildlife.. the Khaziranga national park will be a star to your trip..and another option would be the jungles of Madhya Pradesh. Trust me if you are an animal lover than this is the place for you. it would be hotter in the afternoon , but you can always laze within the resort during this time and opt for atleast 3 safaris. don't miss the morning g safari as you ll get to know the difference between the air you breath in the city and over there.. hope this helps.

If you and your family can walk 8 km., I would suggest Dzouku Valley in Nagaland. Other interest include: Word War memorial, Kisama, etc.
