Hi viren its nice you are going on solo bike ride to leh yes you need to take some precautions as
1) Avoid smoking and drinking during the trip. 2) It is advisable to carry more cash with you rather than depending on ATMs. 3) Wear protective biking gear if you want your limbs and head to remain intact in case of any unfortunate incident. 4) Try carrying extra petrol with you, as there are sparse petrol pumps on the stretch. Carry with you an extra puncture kit, accelerator cables, clutch cables, tubes, fuses and air pump.

Hi Viren, There are a couple of things that you need to take care of, before you venture out to Ladakh. AMS: Acute mountain sickness is one thing that you need to prepare for in advance, carry Diamox and take it before you reach Keylong, if you are taking the Manali route. As a general rule, rest for a day or two after every climb of 2,000ft of climb above 8000ft. This will give your body plenty of time for acclimatization. Cash: You might not find ATMs for stretches, so you need to carry enough cash at all times. Network Connectivity: At most places in Ladakh there are only post paid BSNl connectivity, you need to make your arrangements accordingly, and inform your dear ones before hand. Permits: Tourists are required to obtain a Protect Area Permit for visiting restricted areas including Tso Moriri, Tso Kar, Pangong Tso Lake, Dhahanu and Nubra Valley. One can obtain these permits through registered travel agencies. While travelling, its advisable to carry six copies of the permit as these are required to be submitted at the checking points.
Other medicines/petrol: Like ATMs, hospitals and petrol stations are scarce, stock up accordingly. Carry multiple copies of identity proofs. Always wear layers of clothing to keep yourself warm. Do not underestimate the weather and the cold. Drive safe, and get proper rest every night.

I have done my solo trip to north east and solo trip has its own perks which one must experienced by himself but one thing I must tell you to be aware of is , stay away from group of people consuming alcohol and try to reach back to your camps before it gets too dark.
