It depend on where you are going for your work as Gujarat is big state some of the places which you will enjoy with your mother in this season are Gir national park Rann utsav - Bhuj

Barren land..if u like then ur trip would be dwarka-junagarh-gir-somnath-diu
if u want to experiance salt desert...go for kutch but that cannot be clubbed with earlier destination

RANN is a good option in winter. You can try Gir forest as well, if you are a wildlife lover.

Where or which side u heading in Gujarat. it's very big so better u visit nearby places wherever u going for work
