Hello Travellers!!! I am planning for a trip to Gokarna from Pune, during Christmas. I plan to leave on 21st night. I checked buses for Gokarna but they are too high priced. Could any 1 suggest me better options of reaching Gokarna from Pune? Thanks. :)

Hello anushree, Well there is a train on 21st which i guess would be cheap but i doubt on seats availability. private buses costs from Rs.900 so i would suggest you to please opt for maharashtra state bus which would be cheap.

Thanks for ur reply Abhigya ! Can you tell me the train name? Is it Poorna express as when i searched , only this train was available and that is on Saturday. And about Mharashtra Buses, is there any website for booking Mh buses?

No, you wouldn't get seats in any train now, so better to choose bus however NWKRTC (a sister organization of KSRTC) operates day and night services to Karwar and Kumta. Gokarna is close by from both these places. Happy Travelling!!

U can cum by train as well as u get down at karwar n from there u n go by bus...
