Hi Arpita, I wont say it is very safe to travel in the hills right now given the current weather, still travelers are making there trips to the most insurmountable locations. I'd suggest you to keep a check on the weather, and monitor it right before you leave from your city. In these cases it is best to call up a hotel and talk to the staff there, you'll have a clearer idea if taking this risk is worth it. I was in Mcleod last weekend and i spent my time sitting in a cafe looking outside the window because it rained incessantly. It is a risk I took and i dont regret it. So make an informed decision. Happy traveling.

Currently it's heavy rainfall there. I went to Himachal recently (31st May to June 3th) and got acquainted with quite many landslides, due to which I got delayed at arriving my desired destinations on time. Hence I will advice you to go there once the Rainfall ends.

I have spent last two Independence Day in Himachal. The risk is there, but it's not so huge and it's worth taking considering the monsoon beauty of Himachal. Go for it.
