I'll suggest you to start from Malaysia or Singapore as they are small country and You'll cover in very short period. After that you can go for Thailand or Vietnam. Both are very beautiful country and required lots of time to explore. If you are traveing to Vietnan then try to cover Cambodia too as they are neighbouring country and you can cover toghther. I've been to all South East countries and Vietnam and Philippines are my favourite one.

Yeah I can give you full itinerary of Vietnam and Philippines. The most beautiful part of Vietnam is North Vietnam and there are number of off beat places there. As per my knowledge or what I feel is maximum Indian only visit Ho chi Minh, Ha Noi, Halong Bay or few other places but believe me these are nothing as compared to northern part of Vietnam. Same for Philippines too. You need to tell me how many days you are going to stay accordingly I'll suggest you.
Thank you so much for your reply. I have been to Malaysia and Singapore; in-fact I am locked down in Singapore at the moment :). Let me start with Vietnam and Philippines than i guess. Any suggestions on itinerary, things to explore? Especially some off-beat locations I am interested in
Indonesia - bali , Ubud , Gili Islands , Denpasar are best ones Vietnam would be next (Hanoi nand Sa pa ) Laos is also the good one you can experience (vang vieng , pakse )

Have you completed our own India for starters? I always recommend first traveling through different regions of different climate in India first. We have everything from snow to deserts, from tropics to rainforests, backwaters to glaciers, and not to forget the record holder of many different types of places, like the second coldest inhabited place on planted, Dras in Kargil.
