Yes. I personally feel when we travel abroad, than relying on Wi-Fi connections it’s better to buy that place local sim. My thought upto you totally. Dhiraagu cards and ooredoo are local Maldives sim cards. Kindly check them before buying.

Absolutely yes, Buying a new sim will be most recommended option from my side because one cannot rely on wifi because it will not be available everywhere.And with sims you can easily make calls whenever its required.
