Hi Vinav, As you decided to decided to visit Auli in March it is ideal time to skiing in Auli if you are interested for adventure, you can experience snow there but not snowfall. moreover if you have more time you can plan for other hill stations in Uttarakhand like Masoorie, Kasauli for sight seeing. If you are interested for special Holi then you should visit Brindavan and Mathura. Happy travelling!!!!

Our sincere advice, reach at least 1-2 days before Holi as the crowds on the highways are a big spoiler iduring Holi. Auli is a small commercial place famous for its panoramic views, ski slopes and base camp for trekking expeditions. There is nothing special about Holi in Auli ! In case you are looking for a hideaway during holi, than its fine. In you are interested in celebrating holi with local people, better plan for Lata village which is some 25 kms from Joshimath. Its the gateway to the Nanda Devi National Park. There is a nice lodge in Lata by the name of Devangan, run by local youth, where you will find the safe opportunity to mingle with the crowd. Do plan for Auli during the non Holi days so that you can explore and enjoy the magic of nature
